I have a 1985 15 ft grumman challenger, the Jon boat. The info plate is completely silver due to years of weather. I currently have a Johnson 9.9 on the back but would like more power due to hunting and it getting load with a lot of gear. My question is what is the biggest motor I can put on e boat and if I do a console setup will it allow for a bigger motor I found a 30 hp Johnson with controls for a really good price but I am worried it will be too much for the boats transom if not then I want all the power I can get as I sometimes run a long way when I hunt or crab
