Bought the boat and trailer for $260 .
Bought a 2nd 64 silverline maverick for $800.
Pulled the Mercury 650 O/B , controls , new wheels and tires off the silverline and transferred it all over to the V153.
cleaned and waxed the entire boat , stripped , painted and carpeted the floors .
Cleaned and painted the trailer .
Built a steering adapter to the O/B .
Mounted fuel cells and battery .
Fixed cracked vinyl dash with my business logo's
Detailed all the original vinyl interior (crack and tear free mind you )
and took it out yesterday.
RAN FLAWLESSLY!
Very happy to have this boat to create memories for my family and I.
Thanx classic Galstron forum for the info and help.

Looks great - I've just been given a '62 Glastron that I'm hoping to do something similar with.

Love to see the young lad driving - mine is 10 weeks old today, part of the reason I wanted a boat was because I have such great memories of driving my Dad's boat when I was young.

Did you do any work recovering the seats? I just purchased a 1970 V152 - looks to be in OK shape as far as the hull is concerned, but the seat covers are cracked.
