1978 16' fiberform

Aloha. I recently purchased this 16.6 ft fiberform here in Hawaii. Can anyone tell me what this model was called? This is my first boat and i amm refurbishing it to be a fishing/dive boat. Has anyone used these in the ocean? If so what are your thoughts? I am building a Hawaiian style pilothouse (like a mini santa barbra radon) and also going to redo the floors. Any thoughts, comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well it is finished. The boat rides/runs great. here are a few pics of the finished project. What do you guys think?

Aloha Looks nice!What material did you use?I myself am almost finished withmy pilothouse,Tomorrow the 2 compound paint will go on(second time) the seller at the store told me the mixing ratio was 4 to one...ooops big mistake! A years work!Had to take everything off again Now 4 days and 3 gallons of laquer thinner later I am ready again.. Tight lines to you my friend from the island of bonaire. Island mike.

I have a 16' 1973 fiberform. I am not sure but I think they call em Columbia. I have the original 85hp Johnson that came with it.
