Can anyone tell me if any open or closed cell foam was used in the construction of the 2000 vintage Doral 300 SE? I know that it has a cored hull (Balsa). A waterlogged hull is the last concern regarding my sluggish ride. Sorry if this question is somehow ignorant or uneducated but this is the last possible reason before cleaning some growth off the sterndrive and swapping out props. Thanks in advance for your help

Boats don't use open cell foam, and most boats would use foam of some sort to fill the chambers in the structure. Although in a cruiser, there is not a lot of room in the structure to fill with foam.

Are you thinking you have a water logged boat?

Hi Tpenfield, The Hull and decks surveyed well. Both phenolic hammer and moisture meter. So my concern on any unknow additional weight left me wondering if there were any foamed areas between the hull and deck that I didn't know about.
