I have tries almost everything I can think of.....I have a 1986 cobia that has a 170 hp mercruiser and it is loosing power due to starvation of fuel. I had to boat out yesterday and it will only accelorate for about 3 min ( or till the gas runs out or the bowl ) it seems. I can spray gas into the carb with a spraybottle and it will stay running. The only thing i have not replaced is all new gas lines and the fuel pump . I have drained the old gas put fresh in, put new plugs cap and rotor in, changed water filter, chnged the fuel filter in fuel pump...Has anyone else had this problem??????

Try disconnecting the fuel line from the carb and stick the open end in a clear bottle, spin the motor over and see if you are getting a good amount of fuel. If not, either bad pump or maybe a kink in the line. That would be my first try anyways. Good Luck
