Re: Last Century post 11/06 ? Come on, owners!!!

I am about 80% finished with a 77 Arabian 200. The process has taken a little over a year. New stringers, transom, glass, floor, paint carpet and I rebuilt all of the seats.
The motor was seized with rust. It has the 351w i/o. That was all dipped and the cylinders were bored. With that came new pistons/rings and bearings. I managed a few test runs in september, and I am taking a break for the winter. In the spring I'll finish the upholstery, and a few other little things. It has been quite a project, but I now have a solid classic.

Just bought this Century Coronado in July. The hull Id shows it is #51 manufactured in June of 1980. Assuming it is a 1981 model year but not sure.

I was interested in you post from a few years ago because I'd like to buy a late model Century Coronado and was wondering if it made sense for me to find a Century Cardel sliding top (possibly the "roller top" you mentioned?) and install it on the later model? I'd appreciate any help or suggestions if we are on the same page here. Thanks, Bill Patton billpatton@aol.com
