I have a 2005 17ft Allante with a Yamaha 90 4-stroke
. I would like to put a Minn Kota PowerDrive V2 trolling motor with 55lbs of thrust on my boat. Will this be enough power to move the boat on the occasional fishing trip. I know bigger is usually better but I am trying to avoid the extra weight of a 24v system. I usually troll for walleye very slowly. Any thoughts?
