I have a '78. And except for the rear of the floor and the transom, it's pretty solid. The The '78 Merc 1150 115hp looks OK, except it needs a new wiring harness as it's cracked and corroded. If it wasn't for the transom problem I'd be working on it to get it into the water instead of on my '64 Glasspar Marathon.

No, there is nothing wrong with Barettas. Some may say that their build quality isn't the best, but it's no worse than many other brands. Mine has been restored & is more solid than it was new.

Any idea what model it might be? Hull#MH01161M78P
I haven't found anything that gives a clue to me. I got more info on the motor than the boat when I picked it up.
I'm actually taking an upholstery class this semester to redo both boats interiors.

I finally have some picks of my Baretta.

Over all I think it's solid. The transom and at least the rear two feet of the floor will need to be replaced. And, like I said in the last post, I will be doing the upholstery myself, so I will be able to do some custom work, which I might have to paint the hull to match.

The motor seems to be OK. But I need to replace the wiring harness to be sure.
