Hello , can somebody shed some light on what material to use to re-deck the floor in my boat?
A little history here.... I pulled the carpet back starting from the engine bay forward and some of the plywood was comming up with the carpet! rear stringers are soft and i plan to do it all!
My question comes to.... can i use birch plywood after i poly it on all sides, and then resin over; how thick of material for the deck? The stringers look to be 1/2 inch but i plan to poly and fibreglass them in (of cousre)
What about the foam does anybody know how much pour in foam i will need?
I don't obviously want to weigh the boat down any-more I am not even sure if I need to replace the foam. sticking my finger into it I am getting moisture rising from it.
After i have put down new floor i plan to use nautolex vinyl floor to finish.
The boat is only a 16ft bowrider baretta campaigner 140 io.
