fuel Injector/turbo question?

How do you know if an "Diesel" injector or turbo is on the way out?

Symptoms- on start up grey/dark smoke (motor uses very little oil)
-under load grey dark smoke.


Yup QC its the 3208, looking at down grading the fleet and this is the first to go.

Thanks, it is definetly over fueling with the blackish smoke, I just wonder if the injectors are not sealing and leak fuel when not being used, as well as not closing enough when under load?

I guess the best course is to pull them out and take them down to the injector guys so they can do a pop test.
