yes it will work but they have one that works better for kerosene then that it is called power service comes in a black and white can at most parts stores.<br /> stops it from ageing ( well slowsdown the process anyway) and won't let it jell but kerosens has to get really cold to jell.<br />( side note) If you are storing this for heating oil i wouldn't put anything in it but power service

If you're using this in a space heater or the likes, the best fuel you can run is aviation Jet fuel. It's simply highly refined Kerosene with anti-bacterial additives complete with stabilizer.<br />It's all we run in our aircraft pre-heaters, which are space heaters with tubes to enter cowling.<br /> I might add, it's cheaper than store-bought kerosene as well........... :)

thanks for the info guys. I will pick up some power service this weekend. I keep a small kerosene heater as a back up for power outages so the fuel does sit for long periods.
