Windows application error - 0xc0000022

I have suddenly started getting this error when opening Acrobat Reader DC.
I uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat Reader, but no joy.
Short of R&R of Windows 10, not sure what to try.
Any ideas?
Try an older version of the reader?

I hated the DC interface. Had some update problems awhile back and reinstalled Reader 11. Life's good again

Adobe make some BIG changes in the Acrobat interface. It's taken me a little bit to get used to it. But after a little bit of pain, I've gotten the hang of it.

I know it sounds weird, but update your video driver, often times an acrobat reader error that causes a blue screen error is a video driver error, I have been through it way to many times.

I am not getting blue screen, just a popup window when I open Adobe Reader DC.
The Windows 10 OS is unaffected.

I've checked a few and taken some increasingly complex (for me ) measures.
No joy so far. I'll continue up to my comfort level and then try going back to v. 11.

Thanks for all the ideas. Will post back if I get anywhere good.
