Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome

I have 3 right now also, looking to add 2-4 more. M1A, Marlin 1895 SBL, maybe an AR15 not sure if I wanna deal with stupid cali laws on that one, and a 1911.
I'm definitely planning on adding a .22 magnum handgun, most likely a NAA mini-revolver... to be used for snakes around here. My last snake gun went kaboom.

Am also thinking of adding a .22mag rifle for hunting and for larger pest control.

Yeah, my prior snake gun was an FIE in .22 mag... very similar to the Ruger. I've actually owned several Single Sixes over the years. Very nice guns.

However, upon reflecting back to last year and that old west style gun... it was fun to strap on and wear around the yard when I was wearing jeans. Much tougher when I wore shorts. Strapping on the gunbelt, the holser and the ammo belt became a drag when I was going in and out of the house a lot. Not to mention heavy. And cumbersome while trying to work.

I needed something small that would easily slip into a pocket.

Sooo.... I'd been thinkin' of getting a Taurus Model 941 ultralite in .22mag as my snake gun. Light and easy to slip into a pocket. But even so, the 941 is much bulkier and heavier than the NAA minis.

I'm thinking that a mini with the foldup handle/grip would be just about right.

Other than that...

HIJACK!

Happy springtime!!

Just checked out the Charter... thanks for the heads up. Looks similar to the Taurus. Even so, they're both 3 times heavier than the NAA mini with the folding grip.

Neat boat! Lookin' forward to seeing pix of it in operation.

Annnnnnddddd...

HIJACK!

I got my garden set up and planted on Sunday evening. Put in several tomato and bellpepper plants that I got from the store, then sowed in some leftover seeds from last year. And just 4 1/2 days later, we have corn! One of the bellpepper plants sprouted too. Cooooool!

The Outhouse

Once there was a little boy who lived in the country. The family had to use an outhouse, and the little boy hated it because it was so hot in the summer And freezing cold in the winter and stank all the time. The outhouse was sitting on the bank of a creek and the boy was determined that one day he would push that old outhouse straight into the creek.

One day after a spring rain, the creek was swollen so the little boy decided today was the day to push the outhouse into the creek. He found a large stick and started pushing. Finally, the outhouse toppled into the creek and floated away.

That night his dad told him they were going to the woodshed after supper. Knowing that meant a spanking, the little boy asked why. The dad replied, "Someone pushed the outhouse into the creek today. It was you, wasn't it son?"

The boy answered yes. Then he thought a moment and said, "Dad, I read in school today that George Washington chopped down a cherry tree and didn't get into trouble because he told the truth."

The dad replied, "Well, son, George Washington's father wasn't in the cherry tree."

Do you know if you guys can get these down there... It's a CZ-858 that is unrestricted over here. You can target shoot, kill zombies, or hunt with it. It's 7.62 x 39 like the AK47 but waay more accurate and a different design from an AK. A crate of 7.62x39 of 1120 rounds is like 180 over here but probably cheaper in the US

Still used by the paramilitary and special forces in a number of countries. The CZ-858 is the civilian version of the SA58. Cheap to shoot, lightweight and a ton of fun.

That's funny.

Just the though of outhouses make my stomach turn. Try to avoid them like the plague.

On a camping trip last year in the mountains my friend did something that I thought was somewhat unique. He walked a couple hundred yards away on the shoreline of an isolated mountain lake and started building what looked like a throne out of flat large stones. When he was all done he stripped, squated on it and took a dump. He then jumped into the lake and went for a swim.

A stone throne! I like the ring of that....!

Hijack:
My bud let me borrow his 1948 Ford 8N this Sunday- Got up late after a bonfire the night before ( Saturday night) , drove to his place about 6 miles away and drove the tractor back to my place. Mrs. M was my escort on the back roads home. What a pleasant way to travel, people waving, seeing the houses I never really see because of the speed at which we seem to travel these days. I really enjoyed the ride, and Mrs. M thought I looked good on that machine...:D Put the scraper to work on the gravel drive to fix all the potholes. Man that tractor is Fun!! Gonna keep it around for a few days , then fix the cracked welds on the 3 point for my bud.

Hijack

Then in the evening Dad came out to the shack (my house) and we finished off some ductwork for my downdraft unit. Turned out pretty good for a wood butcher:D It needed some tweaking as it had a slight rattle in it- gee, wonder why.....So we tinned up all the seams, added some 1030 duct sealant to remove the chances of rattles and whistles in there. Hooked it up to the 900 CFM exhaust fan on the bench and VOILA! no hums, rattles, whistles, nuthin.. Gotta shoe-horn that baby through the island cabinet , around a foundation wall and into the joist cavity today so we can use the stovetop again, which brings me to my next very own HIJACK

At the BBQ (see above hijack- no cooktop for 2 days:eek:) for the remainder of the Sunday evening, my little hunter husky disappeared for a spell, I just figured she was chasing squirrels, one of her favorite pastimes.

Well, she came trotting back from the woods, carrying what, from a distance, looked like a woodchuck. Good girl, :)Mrs. M started in with the praise. Imagine the surprise when she got closer and let us look at the little red fox male kit she brought us. Awwwww, we like the foxes around here, keep the mice and vermin in check......Had a hard time not yelling at her for taking him out.

And just for fun, my favorite little plinker... Early Stevens 22-410 with a hollow plastic stock, looks like walnut from a distance. Just too much fun. I promise I did not use it on the fox - Got it out cause the coyotes were out late last night again, and the old beagle can not run as fast as she once did..Hijack again! Wow, am I ADD today??:D

Whew, what a fun Day!

Cool pics. That tractor is awesome. I like stuff that was built to last.

Your tin bashing looks great. That's one tight joint.

Cool dog too.

Here's my beast. Waiting to eat his birthday cake two summers ago. This is the same dog that ate my boat seats that were stored in the back yard last winter :)

Its tin knocking Sprint LOL , Sorry I just had to pick on ya lol
I did some checking on the CZ, nice weapon, I can get it here in the states :D I think that is going to be my next recreational tool Hehehe...

Hey Marlboro, How the heck are you???? Lots of hijacks, so for me to be to be brief

Glad the little Husky is OK, a fox is nothing to mess with.
Duct sealant is your friend :D

Nothing like a tractor ride to clear your mind and soak in all around, thats actually my therapy. When things get tough, I go to my house upstate and plow some fields.

Nice 22-410 :)

Let me know if you're looking at the CZ and I'll send you links to some cool accessories for it. A friend of mine picked up new grip, forearm with picatinny rail in synthetic that was Iraeli made.

Here's a couple of links for now to keep you occupied.

Should be good enough for making the cat dance and keeping comming at bay. So simple to tear down and clean. A really elegant design.

But to do some serious damage I use my 45-70 (Lever Action on top) that with its expansion rate usually blows a huge hole through everything I hit (Lever Action on top)
