Reading through Tretter's issues - Advantage edge, owners 1 and players 0.

If a player is on the practice squad and gets moved to the starting roster, he is paid the PSquad rate unless the owner and player negotiate and won't even be paid the position starting minimum if I read right.

To his credit, he didn't do much pushing one way or the other. The players have to talk to their reps before voting up or down.

Yea, the Owner's seem to be the winners in this, but he does start out by admitting they have won stuff and he is just explaining the grey areas (at least that was my take on what he said). He was very even keeled and stuck to the facts, trying to let each individual decide what was right for them. I was impressed and think the players made a good choice in having Tretter be the NFLPA president. He doesn't appear like he will be intimidated by anyone ... player or owner.

Oh my goodness Joe. At 1st glance I thought it was a body part the public wouldn't see unless you were on a clothing optional beach!!!

All travel for business is cancelled for all 32 teams. All Pro days postponed until further notice. Free agents won't be able to visit prospective teams and scouts will be hamstringed not being able to see draft prospects 1st hand, that's just a few things of hundreds that need to be done at this time of the year, likea minor thing like ticket sales. What about the Draft? It ain't happening the way it's been done in the past. It will look like the old days when it was Pete Rossel, a few reps from the teams and a handful of reporters.

The NFL CBA has been ratified and the vote was yes by only 60 votes. The new CBA is basically for 11 years. I was involved with the CBA between the company and the United Steelworkers of America for over 25 years. We fought hard to get the USWA to agree to 3 year CBA's, they wanted 2 year agreements and we wanted 5 year, no way no how. I don't know about the experience of members of this site but I have never heard of a 10 year CBA. There are freshman kids in High School right now that will be pro's and many will no longer be playing in 11 years. Ridiculous to me that any Union would agree to such a long term, just ludicrous. The owners win on that term alone. A lot can happen in 11 years. All I can think is players do not ever want a work stoppage for their careers especially when multi million $$ salaries will be lost and never be recovered, that I get. I went through 2 strikes that lasted 3 months each. No one won, no one.

Tom Brady is divorcing the Patriots or the other way around. He tweeted early today that he is leaving.

I think you predicted that after he got the Walter Payton award. He was too good a human being to keep around.

Brady to TB. Receivers Mike Evans who had a decent year and Chris Godwin who had a fantastic year. Didn't see any numbers..

Check that, $30mil per year....

New eyes didn't help Winston. He wanted to meet Brady and wanted to learn from him. Hey Jameis, hand me that towel.
