Earlier they said it was about 90 miles away, but the race should finish. With less than 35 laps to go, it might go the distance.

Bowman is in front by 3 seconds with 33 to go.

Bawman and Larson swap the lead and swap back again. Bowman with .5 secs and 2 laps.

Bowman wins it. Best showing by Team Hendrick this year I think - Bowman 1st, Johnson 4th, Byron 8th, 3 in the top 10. Elliott just outside in 11th.

Bowman got his 1st Cup win

Good for Alex, been hoping he would finally pull one off, was great to see JJ run so well. As well all know the summertime stretch is a great time.

Bowman is also the first driver to collect his first Cup win in #88 and the the first Cup driver to get his first win at Chicagoland.

I thought it was a pretty good race. Only 17 cars finished on the lead lap, but it wasn't a leader putting tons of time over the followers. I think the the biggest gap I saw except for green flag pit stops, was in the range of 2 or 3 seconds.

FlaCowboy wins in the Windy City. For his 3rd win this season he gets another :first:. Congrats Cowboy.

Cowboy made up 5 points on justkiddin 5, but JK still leads the overall standings by 73 points.

Cup and X-Men will be setting off firecrackers at Daytona with a Saturday night Cup race.
