News and Notes
  • Martinsville post-race penalties - Only 2 for Keso and Harvick with loose or missing nuts. Just a fine.
  • No new Cup driver moves to report, but X-men has had a few switches.
  • I know you couldn't wait for this one - Gas Monkey Garage is the primary sponsor of Corey LaJoie in the TriStar Motorsports #72.
  • Mentioned earlier this week - Jimmie Johnson and the #48 have a full-time sponsor for next year in Ally Financial.
  • Got the Tums handy - Debuting at Texas is the 24-ounce Hawg Heaven "Taternater", a baked tater stuffed with everything. http://www.espn.com/jayski/cup/2018/...er-debut-texas
  • TV ratings for Martinsville - 1.3 after a 1.6 last year and a 1.5 in 2016.

iBoats Fantasy Live
  • Sam60 picked his nose and the winning combo to take away a 15 point victory at Martinsville. Congrats, Sam. Need a wheel chock? Here it is. 🏆
  • A new overall leader - Trackchicks Stars has a 1 point lead over STICKMARCHFISHINGGUIDE.COM with 3 races to go.
  • Pole locks at 6:55 PM EST on Saturday. Choose well my friends - 5 points can make a difference.

Byron fails pre-race inspection. Not once, not twice, but 3 times. He will start at the back with ^^^^^^ those guys.

Johnson's #48 fails inspection - to the back. At this rate there will be more in back than up front. LOL

Almirola to the rear for unapproved adjustments after inspection. Was starting 4th and is in the playoffs. That makes 7 so far. The race better start soon or more will be joining them.

A competition caution is planned for lap 30 because of overnight rain and the first heat is 85 laps.

Green flag!

Lap 30 competition caution with only 25 cars on the lead lap. I hate these cookie-cutter 1.5, actually 1.44, mile tracks!

Blaney has led all 30.

Green for heat 2, Harvick kept the lead out of the pits and at the flag. Joey is second.

1st real caution for Byron spinning. Don't see any damage.
