Nascar 2018 Race #1 - iFL Playoff Edition - Las Vegas

It had to happen - Nascar's Fantasy Live now has 2 segments. The regular season which ended it's 26 race run on Sunday at Indy and a 10 race playoff season starting this Sunday at Vegas.

All three series are racing this weekend. Trucks on Friday, X-er's on Saturday and Cup on Sunday. NO RAIN! The Cup race has 40 entries. From MRN, the schedule;

News and Notes

• Rumors - DiBenedetto is leaving GoFas, Bayne is out at Roush, Kayne is retiring, Newman is out at RCR to take Bayne's place at Roush or maybe stay, McMurray is out at Ganassi, BuschX1 may be in at Ganassi, Truex is out with FRR closing and probably more.
• Indy penalties - Suarez failed inspection 4 time and lost 10 driver and owner point.
• TV ratings - Can't find any for Monday's rain delayed race. Like it never happened.

• We have a race winner and a Champion and he is FlaCowboy. Cowboy won at Indy, his 4th this year. And Cowboy is the regular season winner. Congrats and congrats. You're on your own for ribs, sauce and beer! :lol:
• iFL is not over, we drop right into the post season for 10 races. And there be changes! No limits on how often you can pick 4 drivers, 2 playoff and 2 non-playoff drivers. We still get a garage driver with one hitch - A garage driver can only be swapped for the same type of driver, playoff for playoff or non-playoff for non-playoff. One last change - We have a new playoff bonus. Before Sunday's race we can pick a champion. It is a one time pick worth 60 points after Homestead.
• Pole pick locks at 7:25 PM ET on Saturday the 15th.

The only Cup practice before qualifying is history. Joey, Harvick, Almirola, Jones and BuschX1 were the five fastest.

Qualifying - Missed it by one!

Jones is on the row with Joey 2nd. The rest of the top 12 are Hamlin, The Twerp, Harvick, Blaney, Elliott, BuschX1, Bowman, Truex, Larson and McMurray. All playoff drivers except Jamie Mc. iFL locks at 3:11PM Eastern on Sunday.

Trucks wave off in about 40 minutes on FS1.

The Truck race took a couple of overtimes. The end of heat 3 had a wreck to start the 1st OT. A big wreck and red flag caused the 2nd OT.

Gragson won heat 1 and Enfinger won heat 2 and the race. Trucks are doing some good racing when the BuschWhackers aren't around.

Saturday Cup practice results;

P1 - Newman, Blaney, Almirola, Byron, Suarez, Jones, Johnson, Smith, Menard, Allmendiger, Larson and BuschX1 are the top 12.

P2 - Jones. Blaney, Bowman, Keso, Newman, The Twerp, Suarez, Larson, Elliott, McMurray, Byron and Almirola are the 12 fastest.

Ryan Newman announced a short time ago he was no driving for RCR following 2018. One more change during this silly season.

Ross Chastain swept X-Vegas today. Won all three heats today.

Once again it was nice to see no BuschWhackers and see some good racing.
