The weather looks good for the big Atlas-5 launch vehicle to lift the GOES-S into orbit at 1702 EST. We're watching live coverage on NASA-TV and if all goes well, we'll be able to see the rocket heading skyward from the vantage point at the end of my driveway after it lifts off.

We have partly cloudy conditions here but the weather is "GO" for launch at this time. :D

I wish I had a good camera, dagnabit!

Go GOESS I worked off and on for couple years at Patrick AFB. It is amazing to watch a launch you are luck to see so many from where you are. I miss working there I am on the west coast.

Yeah, it's pretty cool stuff. This is a shuttle launch as seen from our driveway back in 2012. And we're 150 miles from the launch complex.

yeah the sonic booms are interesting, can be very "interesting" when you don't expect them and you are staying in a camper LOL
