A pod would be easy enough but I think I'd be $15k in for an outboard though.

How many hp you guys think it would need?

How much would it cost to repower with an inboard? Say enough to cruise at 20mph?

My brother bought a great 4.3 for around 1 grand in Michigan .Wonder if a 5.7 would be better suited for that size?Personally if it was me and the boat is a ok id budget 10,000 for motor and outdrive.Maybe a tad more,a boat that size new would be pricey id imagine.

Yeah, probably in the $20k's or more as-is butbut powe... Problem is, after singing my praises or a year, my boss gave me a 3% raise. I'd have to get a loan for something that big. I can nab a pod off Craigslist for $800, but I think I would be doing a disservice putting my 60hp propped motor on it.... If there was an affordable power situation I'd go into work and promptly ask for the day as pto.

Ugh, what a great deal
