If a ski rope appears to be in good shape still, but is probably 25yrs old, would you replace it anyway???

Obviously it’s not much for a new ski rope. Gander has a multiple loop (8 maybe) for only $30.

So, try it or just replace it???

Can’t wait to get out skiing again for the first time in.... well it’s been a while!!! Maybe 15-20yrs...

And to teach our boys to ski as well!!!

TY!!!

I have a 48 year old ski rope that I have used up until 2010. now its bundled with the 48 year old skis that were bought with it. i have relegated them to wall art.

Unfortunately I think it was just past the allowed time when I noticed it. There wasn’t an edit option any longer.

Definitely time to replace. Also, the rubber on the handle is likely hard and difficult to grip.

Ski ropes tend to break at the worst time possible. Inspect the attach end especially, and buy two new!
