I'm considering to install a tower. Are there any "old boats" with Tower? Built in 1970 - 1980. I'm not sure what it looks like on my old boat. I have found nothing helpful. Thought of a Addict 1.3

Towers didn't come in for wake boarding until after wakeboards, Tony Finn started the sport in 1985 with the Skurfer, and Her b O'Brian got it going full tilt in late 1980's. The question of whether a tower would look good or not on your boat. this could be a question of something that either turns out great or a face that only a mother could love. Try photo shop and put one on before you buy. Addict 1.2 fits bot widths from 86 to 108 inches

Hi strikemike. I agree with AllDodge. A tower's appearance is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I really dislike some of the towers that resemble a "plumber's nightmare" of unnecessary bends that are apparently added just for style. Many are constructed of several assemblies piled one on top of the other that perhaps allow adjustment to fit more than one boat style. I like simple, clean designs. Here's a link to what I think is a real beauty designed by an amateur and constructed by a professional. http://www.regalownersforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=6432

Do your homework; make sketches and/or mock-ups as this guy did. Here's a link to some pictures that I posted when developing a suitable design for my boat.
