How high does the tow rope need to be?

I have a Nitro Fish and ski boat and my son is interested in wakeboarding.

On this boat the tow rope attaches about 5 feet above the waterline, would that be high enough to pull a wakeboarder?

Thanks.

Just fine.

I've been on a boat with a tow point a few inches above the platform. It is harder to get up if you have no experience, but it can be done from that low as well.

5' is pretty good.

Agreed. 5ft is more than lots of boats.

Yeah...5' is plenty. All you are really looking for is making sure your rope is high enough to clear your outboard and to not drag in the water while your boarder is up.

Thank you all. I am pleased that I dont have to go out and purchase a wakeboard tower!
