Re: Boat Behind Travel Trailer

I was talking about the Durango tranny because i have known a few people who had problems with them.
I hope you do have the factory tow package with trans cooler and oil cooler.
Also the travel trailer will require a weight distribution hitch.

Hmmm... I do not have the factory tow package. I added the receiver myself to tow the boat.

Many things to consider.

Re: Boat Behind Travel Trailer

should be interesting, these are the states that limit towing to a fifth wheel

With certain qualifications. Only with fifth-wheel trailer in Arizona, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Manitoba (maximum length 23m.) and Saskatchewan

Then there is some other restrictions, Mo: Total maximum combined length of 65 ft.

Brake laws are not stated for MO. but I suggest your heaviest vehicle havd brakes. Jack knifing is not fun

I wouldn't trust any of those compilations of towing laws, they're full of errors and omissions. You don't need a 5th wheel in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. In MB and SK, the lead trailer must have 2 or more axles OR be a 5th wheel and the maximum length is 23 m. In Alberta, you do need a 5th wheel AND it must have 2 or more axles and the maximum length is 20 m.
