Just put a set of guide posts on my Tracker boat trailer. How far from the hull should they be ? Thanks.

I moved this over here to the Trailer section. Let's see if you get any more action. Good luck!

My rear rollers are 1 1/2 inches. Loads perfectly every time.

Not far...objective is to use them to center the boat while loading.

Ours are just touching the sides of the hull, per the instructions. But, will see if we need to set them away an inch or so when we load the boat on the trailer the first time using the guides.

Ditto.

I used to had some trouble getting it centered real good cause of the inevitable cross current, but setting them to where they just touch works out well.

Thanks for the input. I have mine set about 1/2" from the sides so I'll see how that works. Since the bow is not as wide as the stern, they should work alright.

If you are talking about the plastic ones that can flex alittle, mine are about 1/2 to 1" from each side. Initially I had them touching like the directions said, but noticed after about 3 months that they were wearing into my plastic rub rail strip.
