I tow a 14' Mirrowcraft Deep Fisherman with an "86" Honda Ridgeline. The boat's so light I can't even feel it.

Re: What do you pull your boat with?

Although I haven't pulled them to anything but bring them home, I have a '00 Tundra. It's not a big truck, but I don't have to tow big stuff.
Of course it would be nice to be able to tow two things at once, like I've seen in other states. I'd like to be able to make one trip with both my tent trailer and boat.

1987 3/4 Ton Suburban. 454 with turbo 400 and 4.10 gears. I get 11mpg towing a house and 11 mpg towing nothing :) Tows my 21' Maxum without a problem.

Equipped with trans and oil cooler, break controller, CB radio, and air horns. The guy that owned it before me pulled his airstream camper across the country so it was completely made to tow. I bought it from Arizona and live in Minnesota. Any MN people on here will agree you rarely see 1987 trucks in this condition here.

Pic is from camera phone so not the best.

Tow my Chap with my wife's Buick Rainier. 5.3 liter, AWD, 3.73, automatic load leveling suspension and G80 Locker. Boat loaded with trailer just under 4000lbs tow capacity of 6500lbs. Never thought we'd own a Buick but wow it is a nice truck.

I pull my 07' Key West 225DC with my 07' Nissan Frontier, 4.0L V6 2WD. Rated for 6500#, rig weighs between 5500 - 6000#. Sucks gas like crazy when I tow but no mechanical problems, thanks to Japanese engineering. 2wd with traction control works just fine at the ramp.

When my dad tows it, he uses a Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 V8. It will still smoke almost anybody on the road.

I pull my 83 Sea Sprite V8 with a 97 Dodge Dakota 2 wheel drive V8. Has a lot of new parts and has 150,000 miles. Put load leveling shocks on it last fall..it tows like brand new. Can pull the boat out of any ramp, has no problem at all negotiating hills..the only complaint I have with her is that when overdrive is off the engine runs at a pretty high rpm at 60 mph. Otherwise..great tow vehicle. And like the boat.. its paid off!!

I tow my '72 Invader 15ft with my '87 GMC Suburban 1500 4x4........ I used to pull it with a 2002 Trailblazer 4x4 but had to sell the TB when I had my 5th child :D There isn't enough room in that TB anymore, not with 3 car seats and 2 teenagers:eek:

2007 5.7L nissan Titan 4 door, pulling a 22 ft. 89 Scarab. I have only had trouble one time at the ramp, was loaded down with gas in the boat and a bunch of gear, slipped for a minute getting out. Replaced tires and haven't had a problem since....wish it had a locking rear diff, wouldn't ever have a problem.

Re: What do you pull your boat with?

A 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 SLT 4x4 pulling a 180 SeaRay or Lund 16', depending on what we are doing. Sometimes we hook up the boat behind a 28 foot fifth wheel travel trailer. The GMC pulls both the 5th wheel and boat trailer at the same time with no problems.

To pull two trailers may not be legal everywhere, but it is legal here.:D
