The plates that hold the bunks on my Eagle trailer have basically rusted apart. It is a single axle trialer for an 18 foot boat. I am thinking that I could get new plates welded on but the trailer is 18 years old so I have two questions? 1. Should I replace the trailer? I see no deep rust anywhere else. 2. Is there something else I can bolt onto the beams that will hold plates that the bunks sit on?
