so I have a 1978 mekee craft center console and the trailer is so bad that I am afraid to even tow it to the water so I bought a trailer for it used and it's a different trailer completely it has 4 2×4 bunk boards instead of the 2 on the one the boat came on and my question is can my boat fit on a trailer that is set up differently without harming my boat. I am new to boating and working on them I am a mechanic by trade for a living but font have alot of experience with boats any insight will help

Welcome to iboats.

Trailers can be very very different.
But many are very adjustable, so can be adapted to different boats.

Key things to look at:
space between fenders
height of bow stops
length from winch post bow stop, to end of bunks
boat's clearance of crossmember
trailer weight capacity
tire capacity

Are the bunks adjustable?
removable?

Post the answers in a couple of posts.

Then in your 4th post, you will be able to upload photos to show us current trailer bunk set up,
and new trailer bunk set up.

Some issues if they exist, can be overcome rather easily, sometimes even for free !
