Does anybody know the required btus to heat a 1990 bayliner 4387?

The manuals I found were pretty vague and it's difficult to to figure without knowing the R value. I measured it to be about 3415 cubic feet inside. If anybody with a similar boat knows how much their current system produces I would appreciate the help. One manual I found says 16,000 btu but I just want to be sure. Cheers

… and going back to his question it makes no sense. He is asking about BTUs in a trailer forum to start with. 1600 BTUs is not even a small BBQ and then he talks about the R value in cubic feet? Dont most folks just turn on the furnace, set the thurmostat and go....

I think the op would be best served by building a fir in the center of the boat, using marine grade oak... and then adding more fuel until it all goes into ash.
