No wonder I'm so confused... I just bought a 2004 Alumaweld Intruder 18' with 4 liter V6/AT Pump and the tires say max pressure 80psi. I don't think I have ever had tires with that max on them. They're on a Rogue single axle trailer, so being used to tandem on all my "bigger" boats makes me nervous (if you've ever seen what a single axle trailer with a flat can do) I want to make sure and tow it right.
Called a couple of tire shops and they both said that trailer tires need to be run at the max listed on the sidewall, ESPECIALLY if I have it loaded with fuel and say a lot of camping gear.
But dang, that is a lot of pressure. In the dog days of summer we get a lot of 105-110 deg days, I can only imagine how hot those tires will get running on blacktop....
