Trailer and relocation

I hope it's a right place to ask my questions, I have exhausted all my other resources.
I owe 1986 Vendetta 22 ft boat with almost new 2 years old 150HP Mercury engine. It doesn't have a trailer, stored at dry marina storage and I am trying to relocate it closer to home which is about 110 miles.
Can't find a used trailer so just looking for somebody to relocate it. The on water storages are very expensive, to store it close to the lake I'd need a trailer.
Maybe somebody can recommend me how to make this relocation happen? Where to find a trailer fit for my boat and somebody to move it (I don't have a vehicle to pull).
Thanks guys!

W out a tow vehicle, how do you plan to move it to and from the ramp from even a dockside trailered storage spot, closer to home or not?

Used trailers all over craigs, local for sale ads and ebay.

Home Depot rents trucks w hitches, 20/hr.... possibly local only....

Cant remember if Uhaul or other moving companies have hitches.

Post a haul needed ad here

or use https://www.uship.com

u-haul rents trucks with hitches. by the time you pay $50 and 0.19/mile for the truck, it comes to $80 to put your boat in.

I'll have to figure out how to put it on water after it's moved. Finding a trailer custom made for my boat and moving it - that's a problem.

Don't know who to take the statement. I have found some used trailers in many places on Craigslist. Have been unable to find a 22 foot Vendetta but was able to find the 17 footer which weights around 850 pounds. Figuring it probably weights no more then 1200 pounds.

This is for a 25 foot but will work

Might work

This is a maybe, need to think about it

Also look for a rotted boat with a good trailer. Not saying this is a good trailer, but if it was, you take the deal for 500, then drive it straight to the dump. Pay the dump 100 or so and then take the empty trailer back to put your boat on

Since your 110 miles away you could look in other areas. Look under Boats and Boat parts.

Gee, I always thought new boat trailers were pretty cheap, at least in comparison to boats and motors. I bought a new 4400# load rite trailer for $3300 about a month ago. My 21 footer weighs in at 2700, and holds 500# of fuel plus 2 batteries and other gear, and would have exceeded the capacity of a lighter duty trailer..

Used trailers go for less than $2K here, for 25 footers and under. I would be surprised if your boat needed a custom trailer, as the roller trailers fit almost every vee hullboat or skiff.

You will need a full size car or pickup to pull your boat, the 110 miles. Depending on the ramp you use, you may need an SUV or 4X4 to retrieve it.

You appear to be struggling with this, so if I may, let me toss an idea out. Consider hiring a local (Atlanta based) mobile tech. Make a few phone calls, find one you think you can trust, and hire him as a consultant. He'll have the answers for the questions your asking, and the experience to handle them using local assets. Give him a few bucks to track a trailer down for you, and a few more to set it up for your boat. Not a big deal for somebody used to playing on this turf.....

Just tossing this out there as well....

Have you checked with the current marina to see what they recommend? They may have something in stock, either new or used OR may know of another option to get you a correct trailer. I would suggest having a current photo available so that should you need to go to a different marina they have an idea of what your boat looks like and what it would require for a trailer.

After that I would check Craigslist to see if there is anyone willing to move the boat on the trailer just purchased for you. I see ads in my neck of the woods throughout the year advertising services such as this. Depending on your budget, upgrade your current vehicle so you can tow the boat once its on the trailer.

Good Luck!
