I was just wondering how many people you think you can fit onto a 26 ft family cruiser. I have a 1970 grampian.
And I can't read the capacity plate.

How much weight do you think the boat can have loaded into it?
the weight of the boat is around 6,000 lbs.

I have had 4 people on it before, and the **** pit was a little crowded.
But if some people were in the cabin, you might be able to get 6-8 people on it. I guess.

I think it's more an issue of room on the boat, that the boat being over loaded with weight.

If your coming from Cuba the load estimate is 29 adults and 13 children.

Legal capacity of gear and passengers or number of people who can comfortably voyage aboard?

You should be able to find all your answers here -

You visited that site and didn't bother to ask other Grampian owners at one of the forums specifically for this boat?

What's your idea of "pracitcally sail"? As it stands the question is too open to interpretation. Please be more specific.

1. (Length times Beam) devided by 15 = No of people.

2. 7.5 x L x B x Depth = lbs (persons, fuel, engine, equipment.

If you have to ask the answer is "That is too many people" right out of the gate.

Let's take a step back and consider how many people can reasonably fit in the cockpit. If the answer is, "Well, we can stuff a few more down below". Then the answer is, "That is too many people".

Boats will typically have more seats than the capacity for occupants. If there is one seat per person, (OR LESS) then that is typically too many people on just about any boat.

Nobody is going to give you permission to do something less than sensible.
