this 717 motor is driving me nuts! Found a grooved rotary valve and cover - replaced it. Helped a little but still won't go over 30 MPH. Checked filter, Rebuilt carb - no better. Pump/impeller seem to be fine but still sluggish. ANy other suggestions??

did you replace the spring inside the carb, with one from the rebuild kit? If so, then you'll need to make a pop-off device, to check/tune carb correctly.

Is their a groove on the "case" side of rv? As long as the groove does not go from port to port, then you'll be fine.

30mph...does the craft have "high" pm and just not going anywhere, or not reaching high rpm?
