Yamaha LS2000 cuts out

My friends 2002 ls2000 with twin 1200 motors is having an issue...One of the motors is cutting out at full throttle. All carbs, fuel lines, and oil lines were recently replaced...It doesnt seem like a fuel issue because the engine just cuts right off, almost as if someone pulled the lanyard. We thought it might have been the two safety switched by the pump clean out but that wasn't it either...

I'm thinking it's electrical....Any advice?

Hi Bryan,... Welcome Aboard,..... Are these Jetski motor's, turnin' Jet drives,..??

If so,... I'll move this to the Jetski forum where ya might get some Help,....

Few to none of Us here work on those things... which is why I'm askin'...

I've only worked on rotax motors myself, so I am no expert, but are those yami's equipped with some sort of rev limiter activated shutdown? If not that, what about some sort of overheat shutdown?

Yea we were thinking it could be the rev limiter....gonna try and swap some of the electrical i think and go from there...thanks
