It's in the black cap with the metal contact inside.
It completes the DESS logic circuit to the MPEM located in the bow.

okay thats what i was thinking....I am going to hack it up and just wanted to make sure i was safe doing that.

I would plan on changing those gray Tempo fuel hoses while your at it. They deteriorate internally and shed a vinyl goo, especially if the ski ever saw any ethonol or fuel additives like Seafoam. I would do that before reinstalling a cleaned or rebuilt carb, or you will just reclog your new internal filter and have to do it all over again. Just did a friends 97 GTi and the inside of the lines were like slimey plastic glue.
