XP 1996 No spark at plugs

Hi All

Please can anyone help me with my XP 1996?
The engine will crank over but not fire.
When the spark plugs are taken out and the engine cranked there are no sparks at the plugs when they are grounded (resting on the engine).

Yes, fuses checked, (can only find 3) all OK

I assume they are in good shape, but maybe not. Do they need to be replaced? Double check your gap - I have had many problems after using the wrong gap in 2 cycle engines.

Maybe the DC-CDI module is dead? That's under the electrical box with the starter relay next to the battery.

Do you have the manual?
