Has anyone ever heard of a Flit Jetski with a Suzuki 4 cylinder 4 stroke engine in it and what do you know about them?

Cheap Chinese knock off of Yamaha and some SeaDoo skis. Many negative user experiences in Australia and Europe. Rare to see them in the States, but they do show up once in a while. Someone from the states toured the factory in China a few years ago and reported on poor quality, and virtually non-existent warranty. You may still be able to find the review online. I have a friend in Australia that says they show up every couple of years, breakdown, no one can get them fixed, then they disappear for awhile. My advice it to AVOID, ABORT, DO NOT BUY.

Thanks for your reply.

You do not "paint a very good picture" for them and when you say poor quality, what are you what are you referring to, the hull or engine?

I have been told that they have a Suzuki 1400cc Turbocharged Engine in them which is what Suzuki use in their car so I would have thought it would have been fairly reliable, is this correct?

In some cases it's not even a real Suzuki engine, but a Chinese copy of a Suzuki. Second problem is that even if it is a real Suzuki, it's a car engine stuck in a jet ski, not a marine engine which has been designed to run in a water environment. Do a search on Chinese jet skis. If you can find a positive post let me know. I've never personally seen one, but have a friend in Australia that works on and rents skis, and I'm going by what he has told me. I also read a review of someone that actually toured a plant where they are made.....all negative. That review was posted on one of the ski forums a couple of years ago, but I can't find it. Other big problem other than questionable quality is there is no dealer support.....you have to deal with the factory.....good luck when something breaks. Maybe they have really improved in the past couple of years, but that hasn't happened with Chinese made motorcycles and ATVs, which are pretty much regarded as crap. Do you know what seem to be the main problems with them?

I have been doing some research about them and heard varying reports as I believe that they have now improved a lot.

Apparently if you get a good one and comparing the price against Yamaha, SeaDoo, Honda, Kawasaki etc you get more than value for your money.
