Mercury sportjet 120XR2

Hi,

I just bought a Scanner Ino with a Mercury Sportjet 120XR2 engine. The only problem is that the engine broke down while only having 35 hours on the clock.

My questions:

Where can I find the Serial Number for example: 0E345000
How could it break down?
Is there a place where I can find the right parts like oversized pistons, crankshaft, etc.?
Or otherwise, where can I find a new/rebuild powerhead?

You can get most parts and a reman powerhead here on iboats, just go to the Marine Store..
