questions on 97 polaris sltx 1050

hi i jst bought a 97 1050 sltx and when u take out the teather key the information pod or guage remains on and continues to forever. it nvr shuts off what could i check to fix this its annoying unhooking the batteery alll the time. plus neone kno ne good sites for new or used parts for that unit?

It's supposed to stay on it will go into a low energy state and only display the time and maybe fuel level don't remember for sure but the time stays displayed other stuff comes on when you start the ski. Go to www.greenhulk.net rediculous amount of older polaris info and forum for buying selling used parts.
