New here,so maybe I pick some brains and get some answers! Well for starters i acquired this 96 Searyder with a motor that was locked up ...drain plugs were left in over the winter and took on water on the bottom 2 cylinders. I have rebuilt the motor, pistons rings bearings, carbs etc. The problem is it will rev to 3000 rms then hold there...sometimes it will surge and hold at 4000 but thats it. Things I have done thus far:
Red stator ohms at 572
unplugged the rev limiter completely
rebuilt the fuel pump and put a electric one on for a primer pump and used it atWOT and it didnt help [it is on a toggle switch]
timing is set perfectly
new plugs etc..
I am thinking possibly the trigger????? Thanks in advance for any input you guys may have.
