ride plate gasket on a 1993 bayliner jazz 90hp

Putting this out there, has anyone replaced the ride plate gasket before? if so, what is envolved in it? do you just take the ride plate off and pull the old gasket off and shove the new one back in there? any help would be appreciated.

The service manual calls for locktite 380. Is this the sealer you are referring too?

It should be a pretty snug fit. Have a misty-bottle of dawn dish soap and water to spray the gasket and mating surfaces down, should slide right in.

Loctite on the bolts/screws for the ride plate and intake grate.

if the gasket that the ride plate seals on is in bad shape use a little sealer on it to get it to seal then use lock tite on the bolts.
