I replaced a rec\voltage regulator, started the craft and smoked this part emediatly. I had taken it to the shop prior to replacing this part. they told me it would take 700 to repair it. I bought a manual and nerrowed it down to the regulator. I also noticed a jumper missing from the regulator to the battery hot side. Im thinking this is what caused the part to burn up. would a shop mechanic do this intentionally to get me back in the shop. do i need the jumper?
