  • 94 Sea Rayder Mercury 90 run bad?

Just had stator replaced, now I can't get it to run over 10mph. Dealer says it needs a wear ring. It ran fine before stator failure. I seems to bogg at full throtle. I've changed plugs 4 times, using recommended Quicksliver TCW3 oil and 87 octane gas. It ran out of gas or close to it when this whole mess started. I think it seems as if the dealer doesn't have it timed right. Lots of smoke also which comes and goes and plugs are wet when checked. This is my 1st boat and am wondering why I did this! ha

Hi, Stingray.Welcome to iboats. You don't have a Mercruiser I/O. You have a Mercury Outboard Trouble.Moving this to the correct Forum.Good luck.

Mightymite, you are hijacking a thread in the wrong forum. Post a NEW thread in the outboard forum.
