92 kawasaki jet ski will not shut off.

Hi folks, I hope I can get help again. I have a 92 kawasaki 750 ss that all of a sudden will not shut off with the lanyard pulled or pushing the red button. I traced the wire and disconnected the lead before it goes into the box and the switch is working properly. With a meter the black and white wire shorts out without the lanyard or with the lanyard and pushing the red button. I opened the box and the wires go into another sealed black box. Is the problem inside the sealed box or could it be a broken ground I'm over looking. any help would be appreciated.

is it revving up or just running?? the button shorts out the ingition coils so if you just can't get it to shut off and it isn't revving up you are probably looking for a bad ground wire or a bad lead from the coil to the kill switch,,
