I rebuild the upper unit of the engine after it overheated. Found out the cause for overheating was a main waterline hose that was feeding the cooling system from the impeller slid off the nipple and was just hanging there and not feeding the water. Then I noticed a big cracks on the coupling hose connecting the water box and the expansion elbow in the cooling system. When I removed this hose it appeared to be all broken up from age and required replacement. However, Kawasaki does not manufacture any of the hoses for this model. The coupling hose is about 6" long with internal diameter of about 2 1/2" wide. It is heat resistant hose with what looks like a heat resistant molded tape on the outside. My question, is there any place I can find the replacement hose or can I use some automotive hoses, maybe from radiator exhaust system to replace it? Thank you
