I have an opportunity on a new prop that I think will help my holeshot/pulling power. If anyone agrees or disagrees, I'm all ears.
Current (Yam 4ST F114 on Javelin 17' F/S, specs when loaded with 4 people):
Turbo I prop, SS, 3 blade, 13.75 dia, 17 pitch, ported, 5200 rpm, 47 mph (pitot, not GPS).
Proposed
Turbo Flats IV, SS, 4 blade, 13.25 dia, 15 pitch, not sure if ported.
I know that 17 to 15 pitch should up the RPMS 400 or so, but what effect does adding a blade and a slight decrease in diamater do to the performance (theoretically). Like I mentioned, I'd like to achieve a little more pulling power for skiing. Any thoughts?
By the way, my old login "stinkylinky" wouldn't work, nor could I get a password reset e-mail, so I had to start a new user.
