  • No torque past 3,000 RPM or when turning

Took my 19' Bayliner (w/3.0 Mercruiser) out for the first time today. Ran great up to about 3,000 RPM, and then it hesitated. Engine revved but wasn't pulling. Almost like a straight drive vehicle with a slipping clutch. Noticed the same issue when turning. Ran perfectly when not under a load. Any help appreciated.

    Check for spun hub.

Not trimmed too high. It's down as low as possible. I'll have it checked for a spun hub. Thanks.

You can check it. Just scribe a line from the spline out to the outer barrel. Run it. Check your line. If no longer straight it's spun.
