Pulling a tube, including tractor tubes doesn't amount to that much load. What is your current WOT best trim position RPM with your current prop? What is Mercury's WOT engine operating range recommendation for that engine?
It would...but if you aren’t in the know already...I’d spend the money on making sure that water pump lip seal is ok as well as the shaft it’s on. Just a thought.
