prop thrust washer or not???

I have just recently picked up a 1976 Chrysler 60hp mod# 609HA ser# 8129 14 spline pin drive 2 piece lower unit. my question??? is this prop shaft supposed to use a thrust washer or spacer on the shaft behind the propeller or not.
