Prop size help

Ok guys have a wellcraft eclipse 2400s bow rider with 357 mag 4v bravo with Volvo Penta duo propwith d5 props pretty sure should go bigger at 3/4 Throttle pushing 5400 rpm should I go to a d 7 boat is 4200 lbs dry can any one tell me if that would be the right move any input would grateful

She tacks about 850 in N just seems seems not to have the top end there were no props on her when I got her so I put the d5s on her takes off like a bullet till about 3/4 Throttle but just feels like can’t open her up tacking ato 5200 to 5400 all gages are new just feel like it is under proped

The issue is your WOT rpm should be 5000 max and if your hitting 5400 then the motor should be having issues. Wouldn't be the first time we have worked on a prop issue to only find out later that the tach was off.

If your sure, then I would suggest going up one size

I had engine checked out when I got the boat compression test was 162 164 on all cylinders had new carb edelbrock 1410 750 Cfm was told engine was solid runs great just no t getting what I think she is capable of I will try the next size up prop might go with the S.S. f6 and see if that makes a difference I thank you for the come back I will let you know what happens again thanks

If you think there is more after 5400rpm if you push it, then I would go with F7 set.
