Another update. The last three times I have been out I have been getting 34MPH @ 4400 RPM with the enertia and whale's tale.
The speed is gps speed but the RPM is just from the dash tach. I'm not sure what was going on before my previous post which I reported 33mph @ 4600rpm. Maybe worse conditions... Three times out in a row I've gotten 34mph @ 4400rpm. Sometimes even 35mph.
Note: the 34mph @ 4400rpm is not WOT. We stop at 34mph or 4600rpm (whichever comes first).
The verdict among everyone in the boat is that the 18p enertia with the medium vent plugs has better holeshot than my unvented 17p stainless and aluminum props with the added benefit of actually getting to 34mph.
